It has been a half year since a 24 year old Japanese student studying in New York was struck and killed by a patrol car. We, FNN, were able to get a movie of the patrol car which struck him.
The movie is taken by the lawyer of the victim, Ryo Oyamada’s family. You can see the damage from hitting a human body very hard in the front glass. This supports that a witness’s comment was true: “Ryo was sent flying”.
The family is suing the city for 8 million dollars.
The family stated that “we cannot believe this is the reality of New York City, where people visit with their dreams” and criticized the fact that the NYPD has refused to show them any evidence, such as the surveillance video.
On the half year anniversary of Ryo Oyamada's death, Fuji TV reported about the patrol car which hit Ryo. The video has deleted from the online, but here are the pictures shown on the news. The following is the translation of the news report.
